Vanilla Raspberry Blossom Cupcakes
Following on with the flower theme, I also made some Vanilla Raspberry Blossom Cupcakes. This is a recipe from Making Cupcakes with Lola! (my all time favourite baking book). I modified it slightly as the original recipe was Vanilla Cherry Blossom and I didn't have any Morello Cherry Jam, so I opted for raspberry jam instead.

This recipe reminds me of the Cherry Bakewell cupcakes I made in an earlier post. They are essentially the same ingredients, just put together in a slightly different way. It's a twist on a traditional English dessert; Bakewell Tart, made more evocative with different techniques and decorations. This recipe was just an excuse for me to go to town and use more flowers and edible glitter (gotta love that stuff).

These cupcakes have to be the prettiest I've made so far (by pretty, I mean super girly), perfect for a sleep over with friends or any catch up session - although when I took these cupcakes to my collegues at work you'd be suprised how many man went for them. Thanks Lola!
Thanks for reading. Faye xx
