Jubilee Cupcakes
To celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee my friend Laura decided to throw a Jubilee Tea Party. My hopes of a hot garden tea party were dashed by the abysmal gloomy British weather. My contribution to the feast of some jubilee themed cupcakes, hopefully added a bright, royal and summery touch to the spread.

As these cupcakes were mainly made for the aesthetics, I went for a basic vanilla sponge and vanilla buttercream icing (i should have used royal icing, haha) I royal-ised the icing (not too sure if that's a word) with some blue food colouring and some British flag sugar decorations from Lakeland. I did take another batch of cupcakes, which will appear in my next post, but these were definitely my friends favourites.

So here's to you ma'am!
